1.12.06 Prof. Georges Meylan has been appointed as new member of the Steering Committee of the Space Center.
17.11.06 The 2005 annual report of the Space Center EPFL is now available on-line.
17.11.06 The European Space Agency has just published opportunities to work as YGT (Young Graduate Trainee). The deadline to apply is set to 15 December.
17.11.06 The Space Center EPFL will organise on Friday 8 December 2006 the 2nd EPFL Space Research Day dedicated to the theme "Living on Mars". The event is open to the whole EPFL community and to the general public.
09.11.06 The presentations from the workshop to promote space careers at ESA are now available on-line.
23.10.06 An information meeting about the Minor took place on Monday 23 October 2006. Copies of the view-graphs are available on-line.
22.10.06 The Space Center EPFL will organise together with ETHZ a workshop to promote space careers at ESA and in Switzerland. The workshop will take place in Zurich on Friday 3 November 2006.
02.10.06 Dedicated only to the students, an overall presentation of the Satellite Tool Kit (STK) software will be organised on Thursday 9 November from 13h30 to 17h00 in room CM4.
18.09.06 The Space Center EPFL together with the EPFL's School of Continuing Education (SCE) will organise on Friday 10 November 2006 a short-course dedicated to the Satellite Tool Kit (STK) software reserved for industrials and managers active in the space business.
01.09.06 The Space Center EPFL is currently looking for a scientific collaborator to setup and maintain the EPFL Concurrent Design Facility (CDF). Deadline to apply is set to 30 September 2006.
30.08.06 Students worldwide are being asked to come up with ideas for a space mission to be launched in 2010. Proposals are now being sought for YES3, the third project in ESA's Young Engineer's Satellite Programme. Deadline set to 20 October 2006.
28.08.06 The International Max-Planck Research School (IMPRS) on "Physical Processes in the Solar System and Beyond" offers a first choice possibility for graduate students to obtain their PhD degree in a major scientific discipline with optimal career opportunities. More information is available by contacting Mr. Philippe Kobel, a former EPFL student.
05.07.06 A minor in space technology will be offered at EPFL starting October 2006. The detailed list of course and addition information have been summarised here.
19.06.06 ESA has just issued a call-for-proposal in the frame of the ARIADNA initiative to foster cooperation between the Agency and European universities. The deadline to submit the proposals has been set to 15 September 2006.
07.06.06 RUAG Aerospace just renewed its cooperation agreement with the Space Center EPFL for a period of three years.
07.06.06 The University of Neuchâtel has become the second academic member of the Space Center EPFL.
05.06.06 A few ESA scholarships are still available for Swiss students or professionals interested to attend the International Space University programs in Strasbourg including the Summer Session Program (from July 3rd to September 1st, 2006) and the Master of Space Studies/Master of Space Management(from September 1st, 2006 to September 1st, 2007). 11.05.06 The Galileo Joint Undertaking (http://www.galileoju.com/) is looking for a young engineer for a 6 month stage (June-December 2006) in the domain of satellite navigation. More information.
10.04.06 Eight PhD positions are available at the Astrobiology graduate school (to understand the origin, evolution and diversity of life on Earth, and investigate possible emergence of life elsewhere in the Universe) at Stockholm University.

22.03.06 A new team of four EPFL students has been selected in the frame of the ESA Student Parabolic Flight Campaign that will take place during the summer 2006. The objective of the "PURE" team is to study the effect of gravity on crystal purification.
14.03.06 Following the successful first flight of the "Flash&Splash" experiment in the frame of the 2005 ESA student parabolic flight campaigns in July 2005, the whole team made up of four young EPFL engineers has been invited by ESA to fly a second time. Their blog in "Le Temps" describes what they have experienced.
